tool storage
I like to have everything within easy reach. If it’s right there, I’m much more apt to put it away that if it belongs in a box, in a drawer, or on a shelf. I’m on constant look-out for new storage and organizational ideas, and my storage needs change and evolve on a regular basis.
A couple of months ago, I was cleaning the bathroom when a new idea struck me. This “sugar mold” sat on the back of the toilet and functioned as a candle holder. Suddenly, I envisioned it sitting on my desk instead, holding tools. It works beautifully, and besides that, I love the way it looks.
Repurpose something in YOUR house for scrapbook storage. I challenge you!

OHHH! I repurposed something just yesterday. I was sweeping out my pantry, and I saw a tall glass canister in which I used to keep hard candy. It was just sitting there all empty and lonely on the floor of the pantry, so I took it to my scrap room and put my Making Memories rub on alphabets in it. It works GREAT!

I’ve repurposed and over the sink shelf to sit on my SB desk. I love it because I can put my CM mini power sort box under the shelf and the top has my personal trimmer, cups with pens, my favorite teddy bear, etc.

I just had to ask, what is that tool with the pink handles that looks like some sort of paper punch? As far as repurposing something, I need something to put scraps in as I work so they don’t scatter all over the table…I’ll look for something for that today.
